I am going to walk 30k steps everyday in 2023.
Hi everyone! I know the title may sound like a crazy pipe dream but I have decided to take on 30k steps daily for 2023 as a major goal of mine. I have always wanted to lose weight because I actually want to feel and look good as well as for the health benefits.
I struggle a lot with the way I think of myself when it comes to my weight and have had spikes where I lose weight rapidly then gain it back because of my shitty relationship with food.
On the outside it seems I carry my weight well because of my height but when I have nothing on my biggest insecurity is my belly area and chest and I always feel down as a result.
I believe I have what it takes to accomplish this goal. I work a retail job where i’m always on my feet and average about 20k steps 5/7 days a week. This month alone i’ve been averaging around 30k most days as I walk to and from work and then walk for exercise in the late afternoon/evening after most shifts. I’ve noticed my legs have a little more definition and some clothes feel a little loose as well. I still have a long way to go in terms of my weight so I’m hoping it all works out in the end.
I currently also do intermittent fasting (sometimes loosely as I might randomly eat something at a random time of the day) where i’ll eat a big dinner toward the end of the day. I weigh around 124kg and around 5’11 feet tall. I am hoping to be around 100kgs or slightly under by the end of next year.

Here’s to a new me and a new year full of possibilities! I absolutely cannot wait to body the hell out of this goal.
