I lost 25 lbs, and my partner prefers how I used to look.

My fiancé and I have been together going on 3.5 years. When we met, I was in pretty good shape, always felt sexy, confident, whatever. Well, you know what a comfortable relationship can do to a body. We love cooking, we cook every night. Always delicious (i.e.- high calorie) dinners. And craft beer. And I love my wine.

For awhile I started feeling really unhappy about my body, just uncomfortable in my own skin, ya know? My clothes were ill-fitting, I kept having to buy bigger and bigger bras, all I could see in photos was my double chin. So I had enough. In February, I buckled down and started working out, with pretty strict CICO, and reached my goal weight in about 3.5 months. 25 lbs down! I feel incredible, I look slammin, all sorts of people in my life have made very sweet comments about my weight loss.

Except my fiancé. He never even mentioned me losing weight one time. The only comments he has made are sad comments about how my butt got smaller and my boobs are more soft and saggy :( trust me I don't like it either, but I'm far more healthy now and that's what's important to me.

The other day he finally admitted he preferred how I looked "bigger". And really, it hurt a lot because I worked so hard to be where I am, I gained so much confidence but the only person whose opinion I care about, doesn't see me the way I do. I didn't lose the weight for him- I lost it for myself. He said he was proud of me and that I looked great, but he misses me with the extra weight.

It's just a huge bummer after such a huge personal accomplishment. Anyone else going through something similar?
