My first full mile

So I have been going with CICO for the past 1.5 months and I have seen a great deal of results. But just 2 and a half weeks ago, I decided to start running.

I was a smoker of ten years, so I knew this wasn't going to be an enjoyable experience to start, but I quit in January of this year and wanted to capitalize on the progress.

I would run about .15 miles and stop, out of breath and gasping for air, walk for a minute, run again, and take about 13 minutes to complete a mile. I would just like to update that yesterday I ran my first 7:45 second mile and did not stop to catch my breath.

It's just amazing, if you really look at it. Something your body couldn't dream of doing, is now peaking your original military PT score from 10 years ago. It's honestly such a game changer. There is a 22 mile ruck coming up in August near me and that is my new goal to accomplish/train for. Wish me luck!
