Every single pound lost matters and should be celebrated!

This is my first time posting here but I’ve been reading since I started my weight loss journey.

I’m a 5’6 female and I started at ~245. I’m now at 213 which is still considered big for my height and I really didn’t see a different up until today. I tried on an outfit that I wore at a concert this time last year and the difference was...astounding. I remember absolutely hating the way it looked last year but today I was comfortable in it! I look in the mirror every single day and I’m always disappointed at how seemingly little I lost. It took me having to wear something I haven’t worn in a year to shatter the image of myself in my head. I have a long way to go but I can confidently say that I’m happy where I am.

This came at a perfect time because I was just contemplating if the struggle I’ve been going through is even worth it. This is a reminder to myself first and foremost, every single pound matters and makes a difference. You don’t have to hit your goal to love the journey your body is going on. The process is long but improvements are being made everyday. The time was going to pass anyway and I’m so glad that I decided to switch to healthier habits because had I tried the outfit on today without losing (or potentially even gaining with the trajectory I was on) I know I wouldn’t be as happy as I am in this moment.

If you’re falling into a slump or wondering if taking that first step towards a healthier life is worth it, it is!! Satisfaction won’t only hit you at the finish line but nothing feels better than going through this journey knowing that you’re bettering yourself (:
