How do I properly hold someone's feet for situps?
Quick context: my husband and I started working out at the gym a couple months before quarantine started in Texas.
Since gyms have been closed, we have been using a few apps at home to work on squats, pushups, and situps. In the last week, my husband has started complaining that I am not holding/supporting his feet strongly enough for him to do his situps without extra effort/straining, but I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. (Ex: today, I pushed the top of his foot/bottom of his ankle with my palms, while I was crouched on my toes and leaning forward as hard as I could, to the point of breaking a sweat just from trying to push, but that was not enough. I'm not small--I weigh about 230 pounds.) He tried explaining, but there's some kind of breakdown between his explanation and my understanding.
Can I get a visual/image/video explaining proper foot holding technique, such as how they do it for military PT tests? When I search the internet, I just get info about doing unanchored situps or using a situp bar. I feel really silly that I can't figure this out. I just want to help him do his best!
