College dining halls (some questions)

So the problem isn't that my college doesn't have healthy food. The problem is that there is so much variety that its hard to stick to the basics I know work well for me (ie chicken, rice, and the like). Its so hard to find motivation to, after a long day of gym, work and classes, to stick to a plan while theres a nacho platter right there as the main course. Also, I only get two meals a day, so I have to be strategic about it. Usually, I get breakfast and lunch, then take a container from lunch to eat for dinner at home. I feel so frustrated because I know all I have to do is skirt around the main food and get some salad, fish etc but I can almost never do it. Breakfast is a lot easier because I just get eggs and greek yoghurt etc, but lunch and dinner take me out. This sounds so ridiculous but any advice on how you approach eating at college will be helpful!
