I ate Chinese food after months of restrictive eating and still lost weight :)
I few nights ago I had a really bad night. For a while I have been able to surpress my cravings for high calorie foods when I get emotional but this night was the worst that I had felt in years so when a friend offered to buy me Chinese food it was hard to resist.
I broke and told myself it would only be once, further convincing myself by making steamed white rice instead of getting the fried rice but still getting my egg rolls, chicken wings (I had AT LEAST 10), and crab rangoon.
I felt bad about it afterwards and even worse when I wasn't able to work out for long the next day. But this morning I weighed myself (I only do weekly weigh-ins) and I still lost 3 pounds (my average is usually 2-3 a week)!
It feels so weird to get so happy over it but after months of telling myself that I have to be super strict with myself, it's nice being able to have food like that every so often and still lose weight.
I always knew this was possible, in theory, but to actually see it happen for me was really something else :)
