I successfully lost weight and I hate myself.
Hello! I'm a 17F who has started her weight loss journey since last year. I'm 5'1 and I curently weigh 112 lbs (50kg). I've lost about 23 lbs (10kg) since I started this journey. I have already reached my weight goal thanks to exercising regularly and being in a calorie deficit. My close friends and family told me that they've noticed how much weight I lost.
You may be thinking, "You have already reached your weight goal. Aren't you happy?"
That's the problem. I thought that I would be happy with the way I look once I reached my weight goal. However, that was not the case. I keep comparing myself to the bodies I see in pinterest and other social media sites. It reached the point where I started to compare my body to anyone I see, even to strangers I see whenever I go outside.
I already deleted all of my social media apps, aside from the ones I use to communicate, so that I would stop comparing myself. I know that this is getting out of hand since I would often have breakdowns about my body and negative thoughts that involves using a sharp object.
My father started to pressure me to eat because he knew how little I ate. He even started to call me skinny and whatnot. He told me that no one would like me if I looked like this. Also, during the beginning of my weight loss journey, my mom kept saying that my thighs were fat every time she saw me exercise.
To be honest, my body isn't fat. I am aware that I'm healthy and that my body's only mid-sized, not thin but also not fat. I have a small belly, but it's not that noticeable.
I don't know what to do, and I have been thinking about this since the day my friends confronted me that I have a problem. They know how often I have breakdowns and how much pressure I put onto myself.
I think that the ideal type of body that I have in mind is not healthy and that I need to change my mindset for the better. However, I don't want to go back to how I previously weighed where I didn't have any self love and confidence. I know that I can achieve my ideal body if I just pushed myself harder. Please help me.
