the scale was *up* a bit today....s*%$t
Ok...I should begin by acknowledging that my scale is likely a POS. Last weekend I got on the scale and had something like a 5lb drop...I knew that was likely BS so took with a grain of salt, but have now had three days with not much movement. Sometimes I get on the scale, don't like what it says, get on it again two or three times, and it can be different by as much as 2lb.
Thru all of this I know I am doing the right thing, though. I log all my food (accurately, I weigh and measure most of the time). Have been doing between 1500-1600 calories per day with one cheat meal per week.
Have also been doing lots of cardio; 5 days a week I do a 25 min HIIT workout on stationary bike at home, then 45 mins elliptical at the gym.
One thing I have NOT been doing is strength training, and I really need to get on top of that. Current plan is to stick to wall pushups for a few weeks, then a 15-20 min dumbell workout for a month or so after that, then get with a trainer at the gym.
Bummed that the scale hasn't moved in the last few days but know I'm doing the right thing. I seriously want to get this under control and change my life.
