61 lbs down and a new lifestyle gained

Transformation purely from food tracking with the goal of staying in caloric deficit and working out/training. I don't starve, I eat what I feel like for the most part, I don't deprive myself of certain foods, and I don't hate myself anymore when I overeat and go over my calorie goal for the day (And yes I have those days regularly)

In the "before" pictures I was consumed by how to lose weight, what the "best" diet was, and constantly in a binge/restrict cycle since the age of 11-only slowly gaining weight in the long run. I was at my heightest weight (190 lbs) when I got pregnant. When i gave birth I ended up around 200 and actually gained 15 lbs from there because breastfeeding made me SO hungry all the time! I hated looking in the mirror and was close to giving up on myself and who I wanted to be. My journey started with a hard transition in my life, discovering a betrayal that rocked my whole world but shook me out of the stuck place I'd been in. More motivated than ever before I started listening to hypnosis on YouTube when I slept (Thomas Hall weight loss sleep hypnosis) which helped immensely with control and will power. I started weight watchers where I learned, holy shit, I can eat what I want in moderation and lose weight. It helped me move away from the binge/restrict cycle because I wasn't starving myself or over restricting. I lost the first 15 then. After that I decided I wanted to take things into my own hands and actually learn the science of weight loss and food and calories. I downloaded myfitnesspal and started counting. I read through the forums for hours gathering information. I learned about TDEE, BMR, caloric deficit, measuring and weighing, and a lot more. Anything I didn't understand I googled and researched. This gave me a power like never before. This information should be taught in schools and I can't believe it's not. But the good news is it's out there and it's free!

I also started working out and actually sticking to it after I had lost the first 25 lbs which is something I had never actually followed through with before. I fell in love with a man who loved exercise (a personal trainer)and he helped me fall in love with exercise. Now it is my stress relief/me time and I can't go without it. Having a person to really push me through those first months going from completely sedentary to working out HARD 4 days a week was invaluable. I highly recommend getting a personal trainer if at all possible to support you in the beginning. Anyone who holds you accountable and who you don't want to let down will help push you on the days you don't feel like you can. I went from 215 in Jan of 2017, to 153 now. I've lost 9.5 inches in my chest, 10 inches in my waist, and 12 inches in my hips. My progress has been slow compared to many but I have gained lots of muscle and completely reshaped my body and I'm happy with how far I've come. I'm still working on my body and have lots more to go but I wanted to share my story in hopes maybe it could help or inspire someone else who struggles like I did. You can do this ❤

Hopefully the link works I'm not very experienced with imgur so let me know if it doesn't work!
