Avocado Dip with Fathead Chips
This Avocado Dip with Fathead Chips is really basic and easy to make, but is full of lovely flavours that go well together and that you can taste separately in the dip. I often make a version of this Avocado Dip without the Fathead Chips to use as a guacamole in other recipes I make.
The Fathead Chips are just your standard Fathead dough, made in one piece and then cut into whatever chip shapes you like. Low carb food that is simple, yet delicious and pretty enough to serve for guests too!
Avocado Dip with Fathead Chips – Serves 8
2 large avocadoes, roughly mashed
3 tsp cumin seeds, toasted
2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
1 lime, juiced
1 small red onion, diced
¼ – 1 long green chilli, finely chopped
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 quantity Fathead with coconut, get the recipe here
1 tsp garlic powder
Combine all ingredients for the dip, mix together well and set aside. Make Fathead according to recipe adding 1 tsp garlic powder and salt. Roll into any shape you like and prick all over with a fork. Bake at 180C for about 5 mins or until firm enough to lift off the baking paper. Cut into preferred shapes with scissors and arrange back on the baking tray and bake for another 5 minutes or until crisp. Keep a close eye on them because they can burn very quickly.
Serve avocado dip with Fathead chips for dipping.
