M/21/5’11” [330lbs > 164lbs < 175lbs] (2.5 Years)
As I’ve posted the original weight loss pic before I’ll try keep this short.
So in 2015 I decided to lose weight after gaining around 70lbs in 6 months due to my brother’s unexpected death by suicide. I went from about 260 to 330 between March and November then in November I realized I needed to change and I used my brother’s death to keep me motivated as I didn’t want to end up in an early grave as well. Started by cutting out everything I know that was bad and researching everything there is to know about health and fitness.
In the first year and a half I lost 170lbs and by the time I hit 164lbs I was eating 1000 calories a day and I developed a binge eating disorder of sorts. I thought about food constantly each day and when I had my cheat meal once a week I devoured everything in a 5km radius.
In the past year I’ve changed, I know each healthy 90% but I allow myself the occasional meal out or takeaway but I immediately get back on track. I’ve gained 11lbs in the this year, some is water weight, some is muscle and some is fat. I’m fine with all this. Another difference in the past year is that I’ve joined my local gym and I have been lifting weights 4-5 days a week, rotating muscle groups each time. I’ve gained knowledge on nutrition, bing-eating and I’m not gaining knowledge on weight lifting.
I’m hoping someday to help people who are overweight and willing to change and hopefully I can stop them from making the mistakes I’ve made.
