Tiny victory!

So I've struggled with weight for the past several years and recently I've started Keto along with IF. I haven't been exercising. I have severe joint and back pain that I'm not medicated for, and that makes exercise seem impossible. But today, I almost ran a whole mile, though I had to stop and take 30 second walking breaks at the end of each lap (used to run track in school so I'm disappointed that I wasn't able to do more). Our circle drive is a quarter of a mile if you follow it all the way around once, and I did 4, but I walked the last stretch to the house because I couldn't breathe and my back was killing me. My SO was so proud of me when I got back to the house and I almost cried because I did it. I actually made myself get off my ass and work through the pain and I did it. I'm serious about losing the weight this time. I wanna feel good. I wanna look good. I wanna be healthy and set a good example for our daughter. I wanna be better.

This is the first time I've actually done a real work out in 3 years. I know this probably sounds silly but I'm proud of me. Does anyone have any tips on building endurance? In school I was able to run a mile no problem so I never really had to build endurance for running because I was a sprinter anyway. But I would love any tips.

Also, I know this may seem small compared to everyone else's awesome stories but please don't be too harsh. I'm trying to lose about 40 pounds and I've been very sedentary until now.
