Weird weight loss goal - achieved! ✅
I’ve struggled with my weight for years. From crash dieting and being scared of food, to binge-eating myself to an overweight BMI, it’s been a bit of a journey.
The last few months I’ve really taken it upon myself to make a change. Tracking everything I eat, doing ~1200 calories, 16/8 intermittent fasting (to curb night binges), and heading to the gym about 5 times a week to make sure I’m active. Sure, there have been slip-ups and real binges, but I make sure I see them as lapses not relapses.
Anyway, my goal from the very beginning was always to lose enough weight to be able to wear my grandmother’s ring. She was the most special person in my life and I miss her every day. After gaining weight my fingers were too fat for her ring, which she had given me. It took what was almost a medical procedure to get it off my finger, and after that point my fingers were always too fat to even get it on.
I tried it on yesterday just to see how I was going and... it fit! A tight fit, but it fit. I’m not where I want to be in terms of health and well-being, but this is a huge huge milestone for me. I feel like myself again.
Thank you loseit for the support. Cannot express it enough.
