I trusted the process and it worked!
I know you're probably thinking, well duh...but let me explain.
I'm relatively new here, 7 weeks in to my "lifestyle change" For a long time before this I lost and regained the same 25lbs because I'd eventually fall off the wagon.
Last week I felt like off, I'm not sure why, I had been steadily losing up until then but for some reason I was getting impatient. I felt like I was stuck, like I wasn't making progress at the gym. I was frustrated and wanted to give up. But instead of thinking "fuck it, I'll have a week off" I made myself carry on eating at a deficit, made myself go to my PT session and guess what...I lost 2lbs. I was amazed!!!
All week I felt fat/lazy/ready to give up, but I'm so glad I didn't cos this shit actually works?! This was exactly the boost I needed after feeling so crappy.
I'm not saying it will always work like this, or that at some point in the future I won't have another crappy week/want to give up, but times like this make it so much easier to push through and carry on even when you don't want to.
So thanks r/loseit, before I found you I probably would have had a week off and ended up back where I started.
