Down 30 pounds!!! Feeling great!! [SW-364, CW- 334, GW- 240]
So, I hit my heaviest ever this year at 364. Decided I needed to do something. Now, this is my third time doing this. First time I ran and lifted, second time I lifted and ran five miles every other day. I've done a lot and always gain it back.
I felt like a pile. 3X shirts were starting to not fit and I just felt terrible. Started off slow, and fell off again... Lifted five days a week with no cardio. Really, most of my results have been over the last 3.5 months. My gym held a Lazy Man Triathlon. Six weeks to get 112 miles of biking, 3 miles of swimming, and 26.2 miles of walking, running, or being on the elliptical or a similar machine. My goal was to finish it in a month. I finished in 24 days. It has been a hell of a journey, but I couldn't be any happier. Went from doing about a 1/10 of a mile swim in an hour to 4/5 of a mile swim with ease in the same hour. Now I'm training to do a real Triathlon this summer!!
Diet wise, I'm taking in high protein and low carb. CICO and I've been intermittent fasting which has worked well for me. I spent months struggling to get up at 5am to make it to the gym but now I'm there 8 times a week. 5 days for cardio and strength and 3 days I swim after work. Saturday I swim and then go lift.
It's been life changing and now I don't think twice. I've inspired others to start and now, I hope I can inspire someone here just like I've been inspired by all you guys and gals. I love this community and have loved the support. Thanks r/loseit ❤️
TLDR- kicked working out into gear. Still a ways to go, but training for a triathlon now!
