Calculate your future maintenance calories, and eat at that level at least once a week.
That way you're learning how you'll have to eat in order not to backslide. You're practicing your future lifestyle.
Plus it gives you guided flexibility so that you don't eat all the calories you've lost throughout the week in one day.
My plan is to cut calories Sunday through Monday; future maintenance Friday/Saturday.
