Light at the end of the tunnel

I finally see it. I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm a 5'5" 40 year old female that started at 285 and have worked my way down to 206 since the end of February. My first goal is 180, as when I was my absolute best shape of my life as a two sport college athlete I weighed 180. I know that I will look a lot different now than I did then because I was fricken buff and in amazing shape then. 180 is not going to be my stopping point, but that weight is just over the horizon and a real goal of mine to get down to playing weight. Then we'll see.

But that isn't the light I see. Every 5 pounds I refigure my TDEE and thus, every 5 pounds I go down another 20-30 calories. I started at 1820 calories, and just marched myself right down to my current 1280. It was a nice slow and steady march down in calories, figuring a 750 calorie deficit every 5 pounds, and I have learned so much by taking it at this sustainable pace. But I have gotten so this thought goes through my head every morning: "I hope I lose today. Not enough to drop me past 205, but lower than 206. 205.9 would be nice. 205.1 is ok. Not 204.9. Then I'm down to 1250." So, 205.0 gets me to 1250, 200 gets me to 1220 and...I have to stop at 1200. You guys! In 16 more pounds, I don't have to drop my daily calorie limit ever again! Woot woot!

Prepare to hear me complaining a few months from now that my even steady 1.7 lb per week weigh loss is drying up. In my head, I already know it will. But my emotions will still put me through the wringer as I see the trend line getting more shallow.
