Maintenance Monday: On old habits
Hello everybody. I hope you're all well, and I hope you're all going through this festive season exactly like you want to, be it with all the bells and whistles or without any forced joy at all. You do you.
Firstly, thanks to u/walksmashwalk for stepping in these past two weeks.
Today, I'd like to talk about the power of old habits. I've been away on a two week all expenses paid for (and thus all food and booze) cruise in Cambodia and Vietnam. In such circumstances, my old habits came back in full force. I decided to not log and not worry. All the walking means I'm still well in the middle of my maintenance range, but it was a bit of an eye opener to see how good I still am at eating my weight at a breakfast buffet. No regrets though. Banh mi for life.
Anyway. This week I'm going to back to what worked while losing. Tried and tested recipes, full on logging, hopefully a run when I manage to overcome this jetlag. Except for the Christmas dinners on Friday and Saturday of course. Oh well.
Have any of you had an encounter with old habits lately? Anything you tell yourself as reassurance?
