Time for a reset

I am not exactly sure why i am posting here, i do not typically make posts like this but I think because i hit rock bottom i am making this post. I am 27/M/6'0 315lbs. I have been struggling with my weight most of my life, i had a few good runs of being in shape and probably once being happy with my weight. At this point i am definitely disappointed with myself but i want to change this all as I have a baby on the way.

The only activity i take part in is playing in a soccer league once a week. I hope to get back into Muay Thai in the new year. I am not a fan of the gym so i hope Muay Thai and soccer once a week will be enough exercise.

I have always found that my biggest weakness with losing weight has been controlling how much I eat and when to eat (I am a fan of snacking at night). If there is no one around i am I can eat excessively because there is no worry of being judged although i know it is wrong. I also smoke on and off, on at the moment and I know that does not help with sports.

Hoping for some words of wisdom/hope and tips on food control!
