20 years old, 300 lbs and looking for advice

Just about my whole life I've been known as the big dude and now I'm looking to change that. I've attempted to lose weight only twice in my life, even getting a trainer, but only lost 5 pounds.
Now that I'm in college I want to buckle down, stop making excuses and better myself. I've come to this subreddit because the posts here inspire me and the community is so nice. I'm looking for any advice anyone has to offer, big or small. I'm starting my diet tomorrow and planning on waking up and immediately going for a run. Are there any places I can look for diet recipes, good work outs and other things that'll help me in this journey?
