Day 1/90 - Consistency Challenge

Yesterday I decided to start the new year with a personal challenge and so 8 January 2019 was my Day 1/90 of a personal challenge I have put together for myself. We had a death in the family at the end of 2018 and that rightly took priority over everything else which meant starting the challenge once my family and I got through the formalities. Obviously, the grieving process will take longer, but we can still move forward with our lives with rememberance. #loveyoubree

Rather than focus on what training I’m doing or making my food the top priority, it’s the consistency and discipline that matters in these areas. It’s moving through the days I’m not so motivated or tempted to skip. 2018 was a hard year for me and mine and so 2019 has started out as being a year where I work on my character, self discipline and priorities. The facts are that I have to eat to live, move to feel good and spend time with God to live my life right. Without the Lord the rest will not happen so obviously our time together is the utmost priority. The problem is not these areas, it’s consistency and constance in executing my plans in these areas.

Maybe I don’t complete all of the exercises in my routine today or switch to intuitive training and go off plan. The point is I worked out and gave it 100%. Maybe I only had two meals instead of three today, as long as I kept my carbs below 30g net. Maybe I didn’t read my word and spend time in prayer this morning, as long as I do before I go to bed at night. I pray throughout the day anyway but I’m talking about dedicated time together.

So yesterday I went to the gym and weight trained for almost an hour, kept my carbs really low and spent some time in prayer for my family and just talked with the Lord.

Consistent implementation of my priorities for 90 days. That’s the challenge. Let’s see how I go!
