Keto Cheese Sticks!
Ingredients:
10 Mozzarella Sticks
1 1/4 c Whey Protein (Isolate, Concentrate, or mix), separated
2 Eggs
1/2 c Shredded Parmesan
Seasonings as Desired
Fat for Frying
Directions:
Heat fat in cast iron skillet to 350 degrees F. Place 1/4 c whey protein in its own bowl. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining 1 c of whey protein with parmesan and desired seasonings. Beat eggs in a bowl to make an egg wash. Cut Mozzarella sticks in half and coat in thin layer of the separated whey protein. Dip in egg wash, and transfer to the whey protein-parmesan mixture. Once well coated, drop immediately into the fryer. Cook until nicely browned on the outside, just a minute or two per side, and drain on a paper towel. Enjoy!
