CICO actually works, took me a long time to realize this...

I've lost 15 pounds since the beginning of this year and it took me a while to realize that I really need to stick to 1200 calories. I was about 150-152 for about 6 weeks. I loosely counted calories and wasn't really holding myself accountable for everything I ate. I really buckled up and started counting calories and it helped me lose the next 5 pounds in about two weeks.
I just wanted to thank this thread which kept me motivated to continue on this journey to reach my goal, I still have 10 more pounds but I know the main problem is eating more than 1200 calories.
So to people who are struggling, you just really need to log everything in and visually see the calories you have left for the day. It will really prevent you from making bad choices (I still have bad choices but make sure it stays in the 1200 range). I also have a cheat meal once or twice a week so I don't get burnt out.
I also have been using the elliptical for 30 minutes and lifting weights for 3 days out of the week but that has been something I've started way before counting calories.
