How do you stop yourself from nibbling on food in between meals?
Alright, so the title is pretty self-explanatory in regards to my question, but how do you stop yourself from nibbling/grazing on food in between meals? That is my biggest issue as far as losing weight goes. If I stuck to my meals, I’d be doing great, but I often times find myself taking a bite of that here, another here, and here, and here... If I didn’t nibble or graze on food, I’d be at around 1300 to 1400 calories a day and I’d be doing really well. I’ve noticed that I’m more likely to nibble on food when I don’t know what to eat, so I am open to any low-carb meal suggestions. If I have a perfect day where I don’t nibble, I’ll typically have an apple right after I wake up (5:30 a.m.), another apple after I’m done working (around 9:15 to 9:30 a.m., sometime later), my first actual meal at 11:30 a.m. or 12:00 p.m., a protein bar at 2:00 p.m., a meal or a protein bar at 4:15 p.m. and a protein bar at 6:30 p.m.. I have struggled with binge eating disorder and orthorexia in the past few years (recently had a relapse with binge eating disorder and slowly getting it under control) and I still have a lot of trigger foods, so I try to avoid them as much as possible because those foods make me more prone to nibbling throughout the day. Aside from that, what other tips and tricks do you have for keeping yourself from nibbling? And what does a typical day (food schedule wise) look like for you?
