Looking like you weigh less than you are?
Hey guys! So for some stats, I’m 21, 5’0” (and three quarters. I could be 5’1” if I wanted 😡), currently 159 lbs (according to the scale just now). My starting weight was 190lbs but I started my fitness journey in December at around 183lbs, and got the weight off all thanks to the sub! Goal weight is currently 125lbs.
This topic/question came to me when my mom saw me weighing myself and asked if I’ve hit the 130 range. She’s a pediatrician so to me, her guesstimates are pretty valid. I also remember a couple of people guessing my weight to be at that range as well. A pic I posted on this sub got similar reactions of looking like I weigh less than I am!
My question is has anyone else gotten this? I think it’s pretty flattering, but I don’t want it to make me complacent either — the whole “oh if I just LOOK like I weigh than I actually am, it’s all fine!”
Also just had to share, that 159lbs on the scale was me breaking through my plateau! I was stuck on the 161-163 range for a little over a month so thank god I reached the 150s, which is a huge motivator on my part. :)
