Calling all my fellow women for advice and help! F/21/5'3 SW: 220 lbs CW: 200 lbs : moderately active gym 3x a week and full time starbucks barista
Hey girlies! (and/or all my people who get periods and are trying to lose it)
I am a 21 year old female who has been getting serious about losing weight and being healthy this year. A year ago, I was around 220 lbs and now, I am 200 lbs. I have noticed how my body has reacted to the subtle changes I've made to my diet and lifestyle this year, and I have been pushing myself even harder these past couple weeks to lose more weight. I have basically plateaued on the scale and have weighed between 200 and 202 lbs for over three weeks now, and my period is late.
I have an irregular period to begin with, and there is no chance I am pregnant (unless Jesus is inside me right now) but I am scared that my new habits are causing my period to not come. I am also getting really impatient because it has been pretty standard for me that I don't lose any weight when I weigh in during my time of the month.
Have any of you experienced your periods stopping/ changing as you lose weight? Also, how do your periods effect your weight? I have been waiting to get mine so I can weigh myself after to see a more accurate viewing of my weight without all of the extra bloat from water.
Any advice, experiences, tips, or thoughts are appreciated! Thank you!
EDIT: my "new habits" include intermittent fasting and overall just eating less and going to the gym more
