How to gain nearly 12 pounds in a week
My weight on the morning of May 18: 122.0lbs
My weight on the evening of May 24: 133.6lbs
I've seen some pretty wild weight fluctuations in my day, but I think this one was a new record for me. The factors:
- a week of hotel conference eating and restaurant meals
- going back on birth control pills
- a flight home on the evening of May 24 (despite drinking nearly three bottles of water over five hours, I didn't pee once...)
So, to all of you out there that find yourself seeing a gain of a pound or two on the scale some weeks, don't fear! Random upswings are normal, it's the trend over time to watch. In my case, I've been seeing my weight drop two pounds per day the last few days.
