30 Day Accountability Challenge - May Wrap Up!
Hello losers! Holy shit the month ran by screaming about food scales & ripe seasonal produce!
June's sign up post is up!
Let's hear all about the month of May. I'll start. (Winces).
Weight by end of month (200 lbs, preferably trend weight): 202.2 this morning, 204.2 trend weight, down 7.4 lbs & 4.8 on the trend weight. You know how scales are, trend weight is a more reasonable accurate measure of my loss this month. It feels like I've been chasing onederland for so long kids. I know I'll get there, it just feels like the last 5 pounds has been the longest part of the journey lols.
Stay within calorie range (1500 ish): I did okay here. To have lost 5 ish pounds I needed about a 550 ish deficit a day. I always want to do better managing my intake but I did okay.
Exercise 5 days a week: Good. Lots of walking this month. Always want to be chasing higher intensity & more strength stuff. 26/31 days.
Self-care time (journaling, working on love journals, beauty treatments, drawing 0/31 days): I sucked at drawing this month but I think I did okay here otherwise.
Try a new recipe once a week: Stronganoff out of a box, cowboy caviar, dry navy & black beans into plump & ready to cook beans in the freezer, 15 bean soup with ham & sweet roasted chickpeas with nuts so far. I did okay here. I've been leaning more towards tried & true comforting & satiating recipes for my meal prep & experimenting more with my dinners. 4.5/5 weeks.
50 pages of The Body Keeps the Score: I'd like to have done more here but I'm still chipping away. 26/50 pages.
No fast food, candy from the work dish or Starbucks: 5 day streak no fast food looking to beat 25, gift card only Starbucks, 3 candy related lapses in judgement. I'm pleased with this. Resetting the expectations of fast food is not something I do has also reset what my body is craving. I did less good with Starbucks but I'm okay with that given the other positive trends.
Listen to my effing body: I'm not sure how to quantify this but I do feel like I've done a better job being present in this body & listening to it.
Be more mindful & express gratitude, avoid the hedonic treadmill: I think this is still very useful for my headspace so we'll keep getting it.
Your turn! Hit us up. How was this month?
