Bicycling to lose weight! Riding 40 miles now!!!

I always read everything on this sub but this is my first time posting. This community is amazing and it makes me happy to read the posts. Im really embarrassed and ashamed of my weight so I don’t think I’ll post that on here just yet...

So. My mom, aunt, cousin and I are doing a bicycle tour this summer. We have to bicycle 60 miles a day for 6 days, so a total of 360 miles. It isn’t a race or anything, it’s supposed to be fun- but it still requires a lot of training for that distance. When they first asked me if I wanted to come, I was like, I’ll try??? Lol. I really didn’t think I could do it. I used to be super athletic but haven’t been for years now. I’ve been training, and I am able to ride 40 miles now no problem!!

I think that it is really important to find an exercise that you enjoy doing. This makes it easier to be motivated to do it!

I’ve only lost 10 pounds which I know isn’t a lot but I feel like I’m actually actively doing something about my weight. I need to focus on what I’m eating now and hopefully I’ll start to lose even more!
