Is this healthy?

I've never dieted ever, never counted calories. I wanted to lose weight since I've gained way too much ever since I graduated college - touching the overweight mark on BMI. My target is to lose 20 - 25lbs. So I started dieting three weeks ago, I've lost about 8 pounds now. I stopped snacking, soda, anything sweet. I cut my lunch and dinner by 3/4 (I never eat breakfast). 1hour stationary biking sessions everyday + 15min Core (old habits due to lower back injury). I'm constantly starving, mood is terrible, having a hard time focusing at work too. Sometimes I get dizzy spells when standing up. Is this my body just trying to get use to my low sugar diet, or have I been too aggressive? Also, how do I know I'm not losing muscle instead of fat?
