I’ve increased my walking mileage and now my hip is literally failing throughout the day, painfully.
SW: 240lbs, CW: 230lbs F34 5’7” I lost 10lbs in one month by eating 1500cal and walking 2 miles 4 to 5 days a week. Historically cardio works very well for me. Well, the past two days my left hip “catches” and my stride fails and my body drops. It is painful. I cry out in pain. There is no warning. The pain shoots down the outside of my thigh.
This does NOT happen on my walks, only during my casual, everyday movement.
Is this sciatica? Is this bursitis? Is this arthritis? Is this just overuse injury?
Also, part of me knows this is chronic and will never go away. What are some strengthening workouts I can do?
