Any lifters? I need some advice!

For the past four months I’ve been doing CICO and have lost around 22 pounds, bringing me down to a weight that i’m relatively comfortable with. I know that I’d like to start weight lifting again and that typically you need to add calories to add muscle, or generally be at least consuming maintenance calories. I fear that I’m alright with my appearance now but that if I go into a surplus in order to gain muscle, I’ll gain back fat and once again be uncomfortable for a long time before my next cut. Does anyone have advice as to whether or not training at maintenance or even in a deficit (as a detrained lifter) is worth it? Or should I cut even further? (F19, SW165 CW143, BF%~23.5)
