Frustrated -plateau
I’m 5’9.5” and 13% body fat.. 35 y/o male.
I don’t want to be overly muscular and with a large torso; and that is how I feel. I’m happy with 13% body fat, but I want to have a normal BMI... goal weight is 168. The men in my family naturally have large shoulders and arms - I also am extremely athletic. Lots of running, play sports, yoga, kayaking, tons of stuff- every day.
I understand that at the end of the day it’s CICO - but I’ve tried keto, IF, vegetarian, pescatarian, paleo, primal to manipulate my calorie intake and I keep failing.
OMAD seemed to be working pretty well, I was hovering at 180 for a couple days... but it’s hard to go to sleep with 1,000-1,500 calories of food on my stomach, even if I ate 4 hours earlier. I don’t like to eat my one meal during work hours because it feels rushed and I don’t get to focus and enjoy it.
I can’t seem to break below 180 lb. I don’t want to give up, but damn I guess I just needed to vent. After typing this out, I feel like maybe going back to OMAD and trying to eat less during the one meal may be a good idea. Idk
