Advice on next steps?
Hello everyone! I recently did 3 months of Keto + 16/8 IF and lost about 30lbs. Immediately after finishing the three months, I happened to go on two weeks of family vacation where I was not in control of my own shopping, and kinda let myself do whatever. I’ve gained about 10 lbs back, which I am pretty convinced is mostly water weight/glycogen storage (I still have a significant amount of loose skin and size loss from my SW).
I also just got engaged and was taking to my fiancée about how we’d want to eat as a household, and we determined that, if completely in control of our own diets, we eat pretty close to paleo already. We figure it would be very sustainable for us to do that as a lifestyle. Keto was very good for me, but I have concerns because I have one kidney, and have read that keto can be hard on your kidneys, and ultimately I don’t think I could do Keto as a lifestyle, which is ultimately where that success comes from.
I also plan on doing 16/8 IF as a lifestyle, as I’ve never been able to eat breakfast consistently. Also: SW:268lbs; Lowest:243; GW:~200 but also just a consistently lifestyle.
Any tips or thoughts about Paleo diet?
