Casein protein singlehandedly cured my hunger-induced depression (or is at least keeping me full and satisfied)

Hey guys!

Just a little update from me. One week ago I created this post (How do you manage to stay in a calorie deficit without being hungry all the time and it impacting your mental health?) asking for your help regarding my hunger situation. I have since then been in my usual deficit and tried multiple of your suggestions. Huge thanks again to everyone for your answers, I really appreciate it!

The combination of volume eating and high protein intake is currently doing the trick for me and I am definitely significantly less hungry (and hangry!) than last year, even though I'm in the same deficit.

At this point I also have to give a huge shoutout to whoever it was that recommend Casein protein to me as well! I hadn't tried Casein before, figured I'd give it a shot after reading about it and it is so worth it!

It makes me stay full for a significantly longer time than any other meal with the same amount of protein, which is absolutely awesome. In a direct comparison: my usual Whey shake keeps me full and satisfied for about 1h. If I substitute the Whey for Casein I can easily go 2-4h (depending on my activity level) before I'm even thinking about food again. So if any of you are struggling with hunger even though your protein intake is relatively high, I'd recommend giving Casein or a Whey/Casein Blend a try.
