First month of CICO scale victory!

I've only been counting cals (this time around) for a month and weighed myself this morning for the first time and I've lost 5lbs! While I'm sure a couple of those lbs are water weight, I'm feeling elated. I never trust that I'll be able to lose weight for some reason...like I'm somehow different and my body defies science lol. I've also convinced myself through the years that my metabolism is broken from years of an ED and dieting, so I was fully expecting and mentally preparing for the scale to remain the same or even be higher, even though I've been in a cal deficit everyday. I know it won't be like this every week, but I'm feeling proud of myself and motivated to keep doing what I'm doing. I make healthy choices most of the time, but eat all the foods I want as long as the portion fits my daily cal goals. No more eating crap till I burst, and the only time I'm super hungry is very late at night when I should already be in bed lol. I'm not even counting macros, and my exercise is currently just a daily walk with one or 2 group exercise classes thrown in. I know 5lbs isn't a huge deal, but I don't have a lot to lose (15-20 lbs total... not 100% sure yet) Anyways, sorry for the long post, I'm just really surprised, happy and proud of myself. TL:DR lost weight doing CICO for a month and surprised/proud of it.
