Bulking up calorie dense foods with low calorie foods

So, I just thought of this and I'm sure I'm not the only one. My dad made stroganoff for the family and it is a calorie dense food, it isn't that filling if you're just gonna eat a portion. I then thought, why not mix stir-fried zucchini with half a portion of stroganoff? Zucchini has a light enough flavor that it wouldn't make a difference. It would basically make me able to eat stroganoff to kill a craving while still getting full off of the meal and also not feeling guilty about it. I'm amazed I haven't thought of this earlier, same would go for things like wanting to eat minced meat. You could just mix stir-fried zucchini with half a portion of minced meat. Or any vegetable really. Most vegetables are filling without being calorie dense. I'm sorry if this feels like I'm rediscovering the wheel lol but I just thought of this and I wanted to share in case I can help someone. Good luck losers!
