Gained 6 lbs in 2 months while upping work outs and steps and being in a deficit

Hello!

Anyone else see their weight go up fast and come down painfully slow? I am 28F and 5’8. For the last two months I have met my calorie goal 90% of the time. For the remaining 10%, I probably hit maintainence 5% of the time and the remaining 5% was over mantainence.

I did 2-3 days of strength training each week (7 exercises) and hit 50k-60k steps each week.

I started at 184 and today I am 190. Is this normal? It was super demotivating to see this number this morning :(

Edit: for reference, while my weight is high, I’m only a size 8 Jean. My waist is like 31 inches and my frame is broad. My goal is to get down to a 28 inch waist and well fitting size 6 Jean.

Edit: my measurements from 184 to 190 aren’t too different. I’m slightly .25-.5inch bigger
