Not able to lose weight, don't really know what I'm doing.
So I'm around 365 pounds, I have to lose weight and want to lose weight. I don't want to die from something I can prevent. I've recently been starting training with the goal of Powerlifting. I've made a lot of progress in the short time and just today hit a deadlift PR of over 400lbs and last week as squat PR for over 400lbs. I'm LOVING training for Powerlifting. It's really motivating. But I still can't seem to lose weight. I really would like to get down to 265lbs or less in a perfect world. So that's losing 45 Kilos. I want to compete in Powerlifting but I know I want to compete in the 120 weight class and not 120+.
So I'm trying to lose weight but I just don't really know what I'm doing. I understand Calories In and Out that's the basics off it. But where do I start? How do I know if what I'm eating is to little or too much of one thing or the other? How do I know how many calories I should be getting where I can still workout and train, and know that I'm giving myself enough to eat to fuel everything but not so much that I stay at maintenance or even go into surplus?
