What's the best approach?

Hi everyone! Lately my head has been full of doubts about what I should do to have a successful physical change, about which method I should choose to obtain better results and since there is too much information on the internet, I ended up losing myself in it.

It turns out that I am an overweight person who has struggled with this for the last 4-5 years of my life. I am 24 years old, I am 5.77 feet tall and I weigh 178 pounds. My body fat % is approx. 29% and I am what is known as a skinny fat person.

I have been on and off the keto diet for the last year and the longest I have been doing it is 2 months and after that I quit either because I have a social event or something else. Finally I have decided to make a change and I don't really know what suits me best, in the past I managed to lose 26 pounds in 2 months with the keto diet but because I am not very imaginative cooking I tend to always eat the same and I end up getting bored and in my family everyone eats carbohydrates. I have also tried doing CICO, but it did not last long either, at most 2 weeks, because constantly counting calories and weighing my food is not something comfortable for me and it causes me some anxiety because I am a very perfectionist. I signed up for a gym recently with the intention of starting to lift weights, so I also think that should greatly influence the approach I should take.

So I would like to know what you recommend, should I try to do a body recomposition, or simply lose a little weight until I am at an ideal weight and then bulking or some other idea. The truth is that I have burned my head looking for information but everyone has different ideas of how it should be done.

Thank you!

PD: Sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker :(
