I binged and it's okay
I was getting tired of some of the snacks still in the house and I offered to split a packet of Doritos with my mother this afternoon. I don't know how much she ate but let's say she didn't touch them and I ended up eating the whole 500 calorie packet. Then I ate two chocolate biscuits (about 120cal) and then a few eggrolls at 550cal per 100g.
I am expecting a slight weight gain after this but it's definitely manageable - I gave myself until June (my birth month) to get to my goal weight. I am only 8kg away.
Besides, think of the benefits. Now I don't have an assortment of snacks to tempt me, and I get to pander to my parents who are very against the simple act of throwing away junk food. I don't know why that is, but it is what it is.
In the meantime, I'll remind myself that right now I'm the skinniest I've been since I was nine. And I'll remind you that one binge day likely won't do much damage.
Ok thank you very much for listening to my TED talk.
