Is it possible to lose 8-10lbs of fat and gain 5-ish lbs of muscle in six months?
For the context, I am 21F, under five feet tall, weigh about 95-98 lbs (month to month basis)
But I am skinny fat. I have worked out for four months back in 2020 and saw significant change in body composition but I stopped working out because of school and work and stress and started eating unhealthy.
Since then I gained 1-3 lbs (Used to be 93-95 lbs) but now I am skinny fat. My waist is 2-inches wider but I am flabby, and I have no definition.
I couldn't do one push up, and barely managed 15 seconds of dead hang. But I still can jump rope for more than 10 minutes (Obviously not continuous 10 minutes, 1 minute on, 30-45 seconds off)
By the end of that four months of working out, I was squatting my bodyweight, could easily do 3 sets of 8 push ups, diamond push-ups, frogstand, was getting better at handstand kicks, one pull up, ring holds, 10 weighted dips. Now I am unable to any of these.
I won't be able to go to the gym and I also don't like lifting weight, since I don't like it, I won't stick to it. I have a pull up bar and a set of rings and parallettes.
Now is it possible to lose weight and gain muscle in six-ish months? I also don't want to eat 0.8g protein per lbs of my bodyweight because I won't stick to it. I like carb. I just want to start something I can stick to and easy to maintain. I don't have any issue working out pretty religiously since I will be working out in home and I actually like bodyweight workout, they make me feel strong.
Tips and Suggestions please.
