How to stay motivated?

Good morning folks,

I'm curious as to how you guys stay/stayed motivated during your weight loss. I'm practically an expert at diets and low calorie food etc with all the research I do but I just cannot stay motivated and focused long enough to stick to diets.

I'll be okay for the first few weeks then I fall off track. I'll end up eating something I shouldn't without even thinking about it beforehand. Afterwards I'll just sit there annoyed with myself. Same with exercise. I'll have the intention the night before to make sure I go out for a walk etc but when it comes to doing so, I just can't force myself to do it.

I see so many wonderful success stories here and I just wonder how people do it? I can't seem to hold it together for long enough to make a real impact on my life.
