I (19F) can't figure out how to lose weight
I gained a fair bit of weight when I went to university. I'm going into my second year and I just can't figure out how to lose it. Last winter I was around 80 kg I think? I'm not too sure, I'm 5'5. I lost like 6kg and now i'm just stuck at 74/75kg, which is almost 10kg more than a healthy weight for me is?
I work out everyday. I do some weight training, probably 3 times a week and 40 min of cardio like 4-5 times a week. I eat pretty healthy as well, and my portion sizes are okay, if not a little bit small I think. I'm indian so since I've been home I was eating homemade Indian food. I honestly eat very little carbs. My mum doesn't let me eat carbs tbh.
I've been working out pretty hard since May and I still haven't lost any weight. I've toned down a fair bit, But I haven't lost anything. In fact I think I've gained a little bit.
I figured I must not be in a calorie deficit but I'm not sure how I can go about going in one?
Can someone please help because I'm feeling so demoralized. I don't feel like going to the gym and I want to restrict my food even more. I desperately need some help. I've been working out to lose weight and gain some confidence in the gym so I can start going to the gym with my boyfriend in september. But the way I'm feeling, I'm afraid I'll still be too embarrassed of myself to go with him.
