Should I get clothes a size down, or no?
Hi y’all. Hope everyone is well.
I’ve always been slightly overweight, even as a kid, mostly due to my disability (one of the telltale symptoms is difficulty losing weight surprisingly). I’m fairly good at keeping it in check though, as I’m vegetarian and I work out daily (with breaks of course or else I’d be constantly injuring myself LOL).
Anyways. Not really here to ask for anything in that regard, just wanted to shed light on that. I started recently having a goal. I’m recovering from an ED, so I don’t want to have a number as my goal. I simply want to be able to fit into a size medium shirt.
I don’t expect it to be too difficult. I’m just a size large, XL if I want it to be a bit baggier. I’m 19F but due to being masculine I wear mens sizes.
my biggest issue is school shopping. Most of my clothes are hitting their “wear out” mark (holes, stuff like that). And I need some new stuff, namely jeans. My only worry is, what if I buy jeans only to lose weight, and then they’re all baggy? Would it be better to buy it in my desired size so I have motivation to work out, or would that be a waste since I wouldn’t be able to use them for a bit?
What do you guys do? Let me know. Also, I know a no brained would be buying some now and getting some later, but I’m poor lol
