Should i lower my calorie deficit?
Hi, i’m a 17F who has lost around 29 pounds since march , typically losing 5ish a month but recently this has slowed down a lot - to the point where i am barely budging a pound a week. I currently eat at around 1400-1600 (1400 goal) but i’m wondering if should lower this? I’ve recalculated my tdee and all my counting apps keep trying to lower my goal but i’m wondering if that would be a wise decision for me? I already feel a little hungry on 1500 but it’s manageable and i don’t know how much lower i could deal with - also at the start of my journey i promised myself i wouldn’t go lower than 1400 because i am in the targeted group of people most likely to gain an ED (young women) . I have dealt with mental health in the past (no ed disorder history though) and have yet to really have big troubles losing weight , as i think i have good self control and i never really binged. I’m at 193 from 221 and i guess i’m just asking if you guys think i should lower the deficit or if 1400 is fine for me? also i am pretty sedentary i won’t lie.
