the only activity i really usually get is a 20 minute walk, is this still helping me in some way?

so im 18 and pretty overweight and im trying to really get my resting heart rate down with some cardio, i basically get no activity other than walking the 20 minutes a day that ive just started. is this still going to help me? i dont work that much for my job and theres just not much for me to do other than walking for that one time a day (and getting up and walk around my house for normal things lol)i also do go out to places when im able to but my family pretty much works everyday so i dont get the chance that much a week(dont have my own car or driver’s license). but is this walking still helping me? or should i really be adding more into my day? and im not quite sure what, but if anyone has any suggestions it would help!
