“addicted” to losing weight in an unhealthy way.

I stopped eating within a healthy calorie deficit and going to gym because I found that when I completely deprive myself of food the way that i did when i first started my weight loss journey I lost weight faster. In my mind I wonder why i’m putting in all that effort (gym and a healthy diet) rather than just simply not eating and relaxing at home. I’m starting to see the negative physical consequences but all that I can bother to care about is my weight going down on the scale. Does anyone have tips to hopefully break out of this habit?
