My weight gain from stress and junk food

Lately I've been super stressed because I have an important exam coming up, and sadly my coping mechanism is eating, I think?

Ever since my stress has gotten worse, I 've only been craving junk food and I can't bring myself to eat healthy, and I don't know why. I've gained about 3lbs in the past couple of weeks because of what I've eaten, and I'm sure some of it is definitely water weight because I've definitely been eating more sodium, but I can't stop and I want to stop.

See the thing is, I'm not that sad about the weight gain. I know once this stressful season ends, it's easy for me to get back on track. But I hate eating junk food. I keep craving it, but when I eat it I'm not that satisfied which results in me snacking more. I literally feel like crap, because I know how it feels to eat clean for a long period of time- It's what I did at the start of the year and I loved how it made me feel.

But now, I'm stuck eating processed food with preservatives mostly because I'm stressed, which is making me feel lazy, and for some reason not in the mood to eat healthy, and it's convenient, but I'm not enjoying it and I feel like this crappy feeling is affecting my mood to study too.

Sadly this literally happens before any major exam. I had one last year, and before it I remembered I literally gained the same amount of weight due to stress eating. I was able to lose it again afterwards, but I just hate how this food makes me feel and how I can't stop eating. And yes, I live with my family so I can't throw out all the junk food out of my house even though I want to.

How do I stop this habit of eating unhealthily every time I'm stressed? I don't want this to be a routine of mine in my lifetime.
